On Sundays, we meet together from 9:30am. Our service goes for about an hour and finishes with morning tea.  A regular Sunday usually involves these things:

We would typically sing together 4 songs that are based on the Bible and focus on Jesus. Our music team aims to make singing as easy and enjoyable as possible, so that everyone can join in. But if you haven't been to church much and you're not comfortable singing, feel free to just listen.

If you’d like a taste of the music we sing, check out our Spotify playlist here.

Kids and Youth

Our kids usually stay in for the first part of the service, before they’re invited downstairs to church4kids with their teachers.

Our young people in grades 7 - 9 stay in the service until just before the Bible talk. They then head out for a separate time together with a leader.  This time is aimed at helping them deal with challenges they face in particular with school and other teenage aspects of life in general.

Bible reading and talk

We believe the Bible is all about Jesus, and that reading and understanding it is essential to growing as His followers.

During our time together, someone upfront will read a section of the Bible for us. You're welcome to follow along in the church Bibles or just listen. We then have a 20-25 min talk that explains that part of the Bible to us, and helps us understand what it means for us today.

Prayer is first and foremost an act of worship by acknowledging God is the only one who can answer our prayers.  He invites us to talk to Him, to give thanks to him for our successes and tell him about our concerns, failures and needs. While someone prays upfront, the rest of us are invited to listen and join in silently in our hearts and minds.  There's time for prayer after the service if you have a particular concern.

There will usually be an opportunity in the service to financially support the work of Wilston PC. Our support comes completely from our committed regular attenders, so if you’re visiting, still looking for a church or just wanting to learn more about who Jesus is, please don’t feel any pressure to give.

Morning tea

Not long after 10:30am, we finish up with morning tea (COVID19 restrictions permitting). We’d love you to stay around for a chat over a tea or coffee.
